What is a Preserved Moss Wall?

Preserved moss is natural moss that is no longer living. The moss is harvested and preserved through environmentally friendly processes. Because the moss is not living, preserved moss walls have little to no maintenance requirements.

  • No watering, misting, or spraying
  • No light requirements
  • No pruning

Moss walls are suitable for indoor environments only and should be placed away from heating or air conditioning vents.

Choose Moss Varieties

Choose the varieties and colors of moss that will be included in the design. Choose the add-on elements that will be included. 

 

Moss Selection

Design Drawing

The design team will create a drawing following the initial design call with the moss types and add-ons. 

 

Quote Will Be Drafted & Agreed Upon

Once the elements and size of the moss wall have been decided, a quote will be drafted. 

 

Make Revisions & Finalize Design

After the drawing and quote have been reviewed, the designer will make any requested edits to the drawing. Final measurements will be taken. 

Moss Wall Fabrication Will Begin

The team of moss artists will begin fabrication of the moss wall. 

 

Moss Wall Installation

Completed moss wall panels are shipped to the site and installed by either the GrowUp installation team or the client's contractors.

What are moss walls made of?

Our moss walls are crafted using 100% real preserved moss that has been naturally preserved and dyed. The moss maintains its soft texture and vibrant look without needing water or sunlight. The moss is not living and should therefore not be trimmed or watered. 

Do moss walls require maintenance?

Moss walls require virtually no maintenance. They don’t need to be watered or trimmed and only require an occasional dusting to keep the colors looking vibrant. 

Can moss walls grow or die over time?

No. The preserved moss on moss walls is no longer living and therefore cannot grow, change, or die. 

Can moss walls be customized in design or color?

Yes! We offer moss in a wide variety of colors and textures, allowing for full customization and creativity in the design process. At GrowUp, our innovation team loves to try new ideas and we welcome projects from the simplest and straightforward to the wildest and most innovative! 

How long do moss walls last?

With proper indoor conditions (stable humidity and low direct light), moss walls can last 5-10 years or longer without fading or degrading.

Yes. Moss walls are one of the most creative ways to reduce sound in high-traffic areas. The textured surface of the moss absorbs ambient sound, making spaces calmer and quieter.
